"When the Holy Spirit came at Pentecost, it wasn't dynamite, it was a dynamo! Dynamite makes a loud noise, kicks up a lot of dust, and it's over. A dynamo is a continual source of power. It builds and builds and builds, and the power never stops flowing."
Ken Hutcherson

Live in that power today!

how many times have i decided to blog again?  not a clue. but sometime i will be true and blog.  hopefully this time. :)
k.  so today was sunday.  as always, challenged by pastor ken's message.
john 9 - Jesus as the light of the world.... in the form of healing the man born blind.  he brought out ten truths from the passage.... several stood out to me.
-  we are all born spiritually blind
-  God wants to display his glory through people
-  only Jesus can change our position
i dont really have much to expound on them now, but it is always good for me to be reminded that this salvation thing was not my idea and that i can do nothing about my position.  jesus has done it all. :)  Yay!!  Praise the Lord!  now, i live the second truth.... i want Jesus to be glorified in my life. :)
so after church, mary and i went to panera [which by the way has the most amazingest broccoli chedder soup EVER!!  -  just found the recipe on line... definitely going to see if wgpl can make it. :)]  ok, so i was saying that mary and i went there.... and we were going to have a qt there, but they were packed out.  it was 40degrees and raining today so i guess everyone was there for the amazing soups. :)  too, it was sunday, and everyone goes out after church, you know.  anyway, so we went to the coffee shop and spent some good time in the word. yay.  im reading romans.  i read chapter 3 today. in chapter 1 and 2 paul really stresses the fact that everyone is a sinner... jews and greeks alike and in chapter 3 hes like, so you guys are sinners, but you have the law so you have a responsibility to keep it. and i was thinking to myself... luke 12:47-48 says that if you know the masters will and do not do it.... there will be "many lashes"...whoever has been giving much....much will be required. hmm. thats truth.
k. well, post number one. wonder how often these will be... :)
